Director – Wealth Management
As Director – Wealth Management, Gabrielle works with each member of the Wealth Management team to ensure RFA advisors are helping clients to not only define their financial goals but also achieve them through effective investment, tax, and financial planning strategies. Her goal is to provide leadership that allows Senior Wealth Advisors to seamlessly integrate and work with each team at the firm. As an advisor, Gabrielle strives to provide superior client service that adapts as her clients’ lifestyles, locations, and financial goals change.
Gabrielle specializes in working with expatriates and is the third generation Reilly to work with international clientele, following in her grandfather’s and father’s footsteps. She understands the particular needs U.S. expatriates have, as well as the unique challenges they face, and has traveled internationally to 50 countries, studying topics ranging from economics and finance to sustainability and service leadership. A large portion of Gabrielle’s international experience stems from living as an expat, which has allowed her to develop a truly global network of colleagues and friends.
While at university, Gabrielle was the student leader of an international research team focused on GARCH (Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity) and realized volatility measures of forex volatility. The goal was to examine whether these two comparative analyses remain applicable in a more globalized, sophisticated financial environment. She and her team presented their work to an international group of students, professors, and professionals at the Eurasia Business and Economics Society in Istanbul.
Additionally, while working as a research assistant to the Department Chair of Economics and Finance at Franklin University Switzerland, Gabrielle was instrumental in the creation of The Franklin Frank Community Engagement Program. Gabrielle worked closely with professors within the department to develop and begin the circulation of a “currency” that could be earned for hours spent serving the local community or traded among students. The program seeks to strengthen community ties as well as encourage discussions regarding the nature of money.
Gabrielle holds a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in financial and tax planning from San Diego State University and earned her undergraduate degree in international banking and finance from Franklin University Switzerland. She has earned the FINRA Series 65 license and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. She has also obtained her certification as a Global Financial Planner from the Global Financial Planning Institute.
Gabrielle very much enjoys being back in San Diego after many years abroad and is happy to once again be able to spend time with her large family and close friends. She and her husband love to Scuba dive and enjoy evenings at home with their two rescue dogs and young daughter. Gabrielle also enjoys traveling the world at any opportunity to explore new cultures, meet new people, and enjoy great food and wine!
Why I Do What I Do:
As a member of the Reilly Family, I grew up hearing about this industry and business, and I think it’s a very strong reason as to why I had an initial interest in becoming an advisor. Now I love being an advisor because I work every day toward understanding my clients’ needs and wishes for their finances before helping to bring them to fruition. I enjoy building relationships that go beyond financial discussions while always striving to be a trusted advisor my clients can turn to at any time.
